Home maintenance schedule
Build a seasonal maintenance checklist for the user's home and climate, and put the recurring tasks on their calendar.
Ask for it like this
- “What home maintenance should I do this fall?”
- “When should I replace my furnace filter?”
- “Make me a home maintenance checklist”
What your assistant does
- Ask about the home: house or condo, rough age, heating and cooling type, water heater type, roof, yard, and ZIP code (for climate).
- Search manufacturer guidance and reputable sources (Energy Star, the US Department of Energy, the local utility) for service intervals that fit those systems and that climate.
- Write a checklist grouped by season and by frequency (monthly, quarterly, yearly), each task with a one-line reason and whether it is a DIY job or one for a pro.
- Call out anything time-sensitive this season, such as shutting off outdoor faucets before the first freeze.
- Offer to add the recurring tasks to the user's calendar as reminders.
