Compare contractor quotes
Line up contractor quotes for a home project side by side, check licenses and reviews, and flag what's missing before the user signs.
Ask for it like this
- “Compare these three roofing quotes”
- “Is this kitchen remodel estimate reasonable?”
- “How do I check if a contractor is licensed?”
What your assistant does
- Get the project, the ZIP code, and the quotes the user has — pasted text, or the price, scope, materials, timeline, payment schedule, and warranty of each.
- Put the quotes in one table with the same line items, and point out where they are not pricing the same work: permits, cleanup and disposal, or a different grade of materials.
- Search typical cost ranges for this project in that area so each quote can be called low, typical, or high.
- For each contractor, search the state or local license lookup, the insurance the state requires, and reviews (BBB, Google, local forums), and report anything that does not check out.
- Flag red flags — a large upfront deposit (many states cap it), cash-only payment, no written contract, pressure to sign today — and list the questions to ask before choosing.
