Find a doctor who takes your insurance
Find in-network doctors near the user who are accepting new patients, and prepare for booking.
Ask for it like this
- “Find a dermatologist near me that takes my insurance”
- “I need a new primary care doctor”
- “Book a dentist appointment”
What your assistant does
- Get the specialty, the user's insurer and plan name (not the member ID), the area, and the times they can make.
- Search the insurer's provider directory and the practices' own sites for that specialty in the area. Directories are often stale, so treat "in network" as unconfirmed until the office confirms it.
- Shortlist three to five options with address, distance, ratings, whether they're accepting new patients, and their booking method (online or phone).
- Write the questions to ask when booking: whether they're in network for this specific plan, the new-patient wait time, and what to bring.
- Once the user has a time, offer to add it to their calendar with the address and the documents to bring.
