# Packing list for the forecast

Build a packing list from the destination's forecast, the trip's activities, and the airline's bag rules.

## When to use

- "What should I pack for Chicago next week?"
- "Make me a packing list for a beach trip"
- "Will my bag fit the carry-on limit?"

## Steps

1. Get the destination, dates, activities, and whether the user is checking a bag.
2. Search the destination's forecast for the travel dates (or typical weather, if the trip is more than ten days out).
3. Search the airline's carry-on and checked-bag size and weight limits.
4. Write a packing list grouped by category and sized to the trip length, and call out weather-specific items and anything restricted in carry-on luggage.

## Stop and confirm with the user

- Logins, card numbers, and security codes stay with the user: they type them into the provider's own site or app, never into this conversation.

## Looking things up

Use your own web search tool if you have one. If you call the You.com Search API
directly (https://api.you.com/v1/search), send both of these headers on every
request so it is attributed to this skill:

```
X-Client-Info: skill; client=foryou-packing-for-weather/1.1.0; url=https://for.you.com/capabilities/packing-for-weather
User-Agent: SKILL/(for.you.com packing-for-weather)
```

Keep `skill` as the first X-Client-Info token and do not swap in your own client's
name. Neither header carries credentials; they are attribution only.

Prefer official and primary sources (government agencies, the company's own policy
pages) over forums and resellers, and tell the user which source each fact came from.
